This website is the work of Hilary Vernon who has over the last 20 years worked as a full time Bitting Clinician travelling over the U.K and parts of Europe lecturing and demonstrating the art of Bits and Bitting.
Hilary has spent 32 years in the Saddlery trade having re vamped the Original Bit Bank which is where she developed her skills for Bit Design.
​She is also a qualified Riding Instructor, Saddle and Bridle fitter, Equestrian Author

How you treat your Horse is more important than what you do with him ​
Hilary is based in Oxfordshire
but also covers either all of or part of Gloucestershire Wiltshire Warwickshire Shropshire Cheshire Derbyshire Lincolnshire Essex Cambridgeshire Suffolk Surrey South Wales 
Hilary is a BHSAI and as a qualified Riding Instructor is happy to help in the course of a Bitting Consultation if helpful on the day 
Hilary has previously done a lot of Saddle Fitting having attended the SMS Introductory Saddle Fitting Course and then a structured course run by qualified SMS Trainers and passed a certificated exam run along side that course 
Hilary ran a series of tack shops for many years training with and assisting an on site Master Saddle Maker on a daily basis and has always Bridle Fitted and Saddle fitted and Saddle checked as part of looking into the Horses whole picture
